Boston Golf Club Peerless 3000 Remanufacture

The Boston Golf Club Peerless 3000 arrives for remanufacture. It is only 11 years old and arrived in very good condition. It is in for remanufacture to get all the new upgrades, a new digital read out and the new power open shield.

Once we uncrate it, the grinder is inspected and checked to ensure that it is within spec. We have never had one that wasn't including one that was in a fire and sat outside for nine months.

Next it is disassembled and the parts are prepped for paint.

Here the table is being drilled for the new front power shield.

The old control box is replaced with a new box used on the Peerless 7000. This will allow us to replace the single off button with individual off buttons for each function. We will also replace the old mechanical counter with a new digital counter.

All of the individual painted parts have been prepped, primed and...

...painted.

The table first gets stripped of the old textured paint. We use to use textured paint to hide grind marks and other surface imperfections.

Once the paint has been stripped, the surface has to be prepped to take the new smooth paint with clear coat. It has to be close to perfect because any imperfections will show through.

Looks good after the clear coat!

The subassemblies are back together.

The component board and new switch box get all new wiring and pneumatic plumbing.

With the grinder mounted on the rotissirie, the component board is mounted.

Right side up and sitting on the floor, final assembly is completed with the frame for the new front power shield.

The new Digital Read Out is installed and then we test grind. The clear polycarbonate shielding is not installed until after test grinding.

Crated up and on its way back to Boston Golf Club.

Home again.
